Bonnell 805 RX is now available
Eight months after Bonnell first showed its e-Moto lineup at AIMExpo, the bikes are out of the show booth and into riders' hands. Bonnell today launched the 805 RX, the first production model in the range, available immediately in the U.S. through Bonnell's dealer network and online, with a starting MSRP of $8,250.
The 805 RX is a clean-sheet mid-size platform, with the motor, battery, chassis, suspension, rider controls and software developed as one integrated system. It delivers 56 hp (42 kW) and 594 lb-ft (805 Nm) of rear-wheel torque at 218 lb (99 kg), with a top speed of more than 80 mph (130 km/h), but Bonnell's focus is less on peak output than on making that performance adjustable across rider skill levels, through five configurable ride modes, the Pulse Control System and the patented Electronic Finger Lever.
"Getting a clean-sheet platform from a concept on a show floor to a bike someone can buy and ride is the hard part of this business," said Jon Chan, Chairman of CYC Technology Group. "The Bonnell team did it, and they didn't cut corners on the parts riders actually feel."
The 805 RX is the first model in the range. Bonnell will continue expanding with additional models and configurations, including the full-size 902, now in development for 2027.
